This week is another Science Club classic! For the next couple of weeks we will be talking about reptiles and amphibians, and we will start with frog dissections. By examining the external and internal anatomy of our frogs, we can learn many things about how they live and function. For example, frogs are able to absorb a lot of the oxygen they need through their skin! This is called cutaneous respiration, and some species of amphibians get 100% of their oxygen through this method (such as the lungless salamanders). At the end of our lab, we will be able to see all the unique anatomy of frogs. See you Tuesday!
